    Well, I guess "crash" might be applicable…

    I drove into the garage with the bike still on my roof rack, "crashing" it do death.

    I'll see how good my "premium bike insurance" is soon.

    Ouch! If there is one reason a rear hitch mount is preferable this would be it.

    My tip for the day - with bikes on the roof, put the remote in an unusual spot in the car. Then when you reach for it in the usual spot, you go What the F? Oh yeah, phew!

    My advice: if you own a bike, don't own one of the following:

    1) a garage
    2) a car
    3) a roof rack

    This will greatly diminish your chances of "crashing" your bike into the garage!
