I got the green light to go tonight from HQ. I have an old mountain bike and an old road bike. I need to get some tires for them (slicks on both). Which way should I go? Road or mountain?
In fact, I was considering a post on KB's motivational skills during the Speed Theory Crit. I was totally going to drop out and he shamed me into another 5 laps. In the end, I was glad he did.
Thanks for the great clinic last night. Lost you guys on the last bit of single track. I just ripped around on top of Edworthy for a bit before finding a decent. I think it eventually ended in the same trail you guys must have been on, since there was a lot of mud with thin tires tracks in it.
So minus one launching myself into the tree going over a drop on the down hill a great ride, can't wait to race next week.
I have lacerations and contusions on my right shoulder, a bruise on my back, a sore neck from where my seat mashed into the back of my head and a hamstring that is really not feeling quite right. I won't talk about what the push ups.
In other words, I'm stoked for next week. I might have to change out my skinny tires. They don't seem to survive too well at 110psi in the gravel.
I'm feeling the same way Tom...awesome! Too bad I'm missing the first two weeks of racing, I can't wait to get out there and show off my lack luster cross skills.
I think we took off from the Edworthy parking lot around 6:32? then we headed west to around Shaganappi golf course. That would explain it if you were late.

Go with some tread, but not a lot. Little stubs so you aren't penalized with speed scrub too much when it is dry out.
Can't wait got my crossbike all tuned up and ready to go.
Oh man, I am expecting KB to make cry tonite.

I have the cross bike at the office today. I am looking forward to the lessons.

Ready for some more?
No push ups this time.
Check the training ride forum.
I am still sore from the pushups.
I had so much fun I ordered a cross bike today.
