Bicisport Racing Extravaganza

If you feel the need for speed then look no further that this coming weekend. May 12th and May 13th are filled with action packed action in Strathmore and Calgary's very own Race City Speedway. Bicisport marks the first Calgary race of the season so if you're interested be sure to sign up, suit up, and get your speed freak on.

Here is where you can register. (click me if you dare)

Here in the top right corner you can get more details.

Rob is calling all Cat5s. If you do any racing this year, the Bicisport crit is an excellent race.
You'll learn: How to get comfy in a pack, How to ride corners and, as Trev always says, how to get pumped
There is something to be said for the red and white stripes, the hordes of screaming fans and the elaborate victory celebrations.*

Anyhow, sign up and come on out, should be a great weekend.

*this may be hype

Good luck guys - sounds like a great race. I'm registered for the Lethbridge Tri so I'm going to miss this one.

I have registered for both events. Let's hope Ivan does not implicate me in the Operacion Puerto affair between now and race day.

Count me in.

It's time to send a message. Let's get out there CAT 5's.

Let's get out there and work as a team.

Carl, Good Luck in Lethbridge.

Cat5s, if we have 4 or more bodies we can likely own this thing. Off the front, nice tight paceline. . .

Gents,

Will be making my way to Lethbridge with Carl for the Lethbridge Tri. Good luck and kick some ass at the Bicisport Crit!

Is the crit on Sunday? The website still has the 2006 dates on it.

I'm game for whichever one is on Sunday; Have to do a long ride out to Bragg Creek on Saturday morning.

The crit is on Sat. afternoon.

A race is ALWAYS more beneficial than a long ride IMO. Many people get caught up in thinking this is not so. It was a myth started by people that will beat you.

Don't miss out on an opportunity to race at the speedway and race with your team.

Ummm...it does sound like fun...
i'll shuffle my weekend workouts around to do the crit then.

Never done one before, kinda excited.

Anyone else in deep NW (edgemont) going to the crit?

Trev said...

I'm even deeper NW, Royal Oak. And Alex is in Rangelands... we could probably pick you up on our way down if you don't mind waiting around for me to finish.

That would be great, Trev. Not exactly sure where the speedway is.

I wouldn't mind watching some higher Cat. races anyways, probably be a good learning experience.

I'll be at the crit assuming I can sign up in person. I'll try to be at the ITT as well but it could be tight with the MD Run.
