Gideon, I think I see your front tire in the shot of me :) Dude, I looked back with about 3min to go and saw you and thought, "HOLY CRAP !!" and gave it everything I had just to not get passed. You are on fire. Totally awesome. Check out results for the last 4 years, you would have taken the overall in EVERY ONE! You have got to take that form somewhere and race it. You are in too good of shape to call it a season now.
Rod, no kidding, I kinda killed my old excuse with that new bike. But now I can say it's 'flexy', 'power sapping', 'No wonder I lost 42seconds to Gideon, I was on too light of a bike'.
Sorry, I wasn't joking, I thought that was your cannondale. Upon closer inspection it would appear you are riding a nice light Ti frame. It is nice to see that you only raced with your 10 o'clock shadow instead of the full beard.
Thanks for the nice words - I did have a good run. I've never ridden up that particular road before, so I didn't know what to expect. Chasing you was pretty good motivation though...I've got some good form, but family life balance dicatates that I end my season. Cross just isn't for me anyways - I just don't have the bike handling skills. I'm looking forward to racing with you again next season, and maybe going for a few training rides here and there - I live in Tuscany, just a stone's throw away!

Some great shots. Did you happen to take any of the last guy up the hill? If so, it would be great if you could e-mail them to wrxsti@shaw.ca.
Thanks,
Gideon
Hey Mike. Great to finally meet you, as your name is passed around regularly. Would love pics if you can send them.
Thanks,
Mark

Trev,
I would have thought you would have taken a lighter bike to the hill climb.

G-man
Sorry, Gideon, I put away the camera right after Trev went up the hill. I'll catch you next time.
Mark, I sent some photos to your work address (@gov.ab....)
