Garmin Brings Power to the People with Vector

This product has been in the works for many years and so it is great to see it finally coming to market. Garmin bought the technology a few years ago from MetriGear who did not have deep enough pockets to work out all the kinks and get it to market. Looks like it is here, and cheaper than most other power meter systems!

Maybe some of the employees in the Cochrane Garmin office have been testing it on the Cochrane hill already...

very cool. Slowtwitch.com reported they should be out in March and sell for $1500

I'm guessing the power numbers reported by the Garmin system would be highest, followed very closely by SRM (due to pedal bearing losses), followed by PowerTap (due to BB and chain losses) and then CompuTrainer (due to tire rolling resistance losses).
