Slayer in Tempe

While most of us are starting to train again, doing spin classes, cross training, thinking about training again, dogging cars, or if you are Dallas doing epic rides. Our team mate Slayer Dan is still hard at it. He will be doing the Tempe Ironman this Sunday. The weather forecast is 73 and sunny so perfect conditions.

Dan has been training hard right through the end of the race season and is in great shape and ready to go. I am sure there will be an amazing post some time next week.

In the meantime you can follow the race at IronManArizona.com. Slayer is number 720, go time is 7am.

Dan... remember it is all about the bike split. If you have an awesome bike split, no one will notice anything else !!

Low and tight my friend. Low and tight !!

Use your "linden" anger and you'll do fine.

Team,

Thank you all for your kind words and support. I did one lap of the bike course this afternoon and it took about 1.5 hours and that was with lots of traffic stops. I am hoping that with the closures on the road it will go fast.

The roads are super narrow here on the shoulders. They make the 1A at Morley look like a wheel chair accessible ramp.

I have been looking over my shoulder to see if I bump into mega star Mr. Pinden. I ended up bumping into Dallas Cain. Great to see him.

I am not doing my second workout of the day. Power shopping at the outlet stores. My wife is going to lay some smack on my credit card!

Hmm. Ironman in Arizona. At some point you might see Coyote loping down the highway. This is normal. If he starts chatting with you you need to dial it back a little. Just until the red dots go away.

Be awesome.

Get up super early race morning for a warm up lap on the bike. You know that works.
