Thomas has been working on a cycling kit to celebrate our rise to the top of Alberta Road Clubs. He wanted to make something distinctively different, yet still fully recognizable as an ST rider. Also, he was a big fan of the old Saeco kit and wanted to emulate it a bit. On the arm, is the 09AlbertaRoadCupChampions.... not so big as to be a brag. This is just a prelim and is only in its fourth generation, so it may change, but I thought I would share it with the club. The red is the same red as on our black jerseys, but comes through as a little lighter here on the image, since it is an official 'dye'. (Click on jersey to make it bigger)
We are negotiating with a company (ATAC) that wants our business (we ordered A LOT of clothes last year) to make these, so we hope the cost will be quite low for the kit.
Remember to come out Friday night at around 7pm.

Well I dig the design, looks really cool. the jersey is unique, I like the two different colour sleeves.
first impressions though ? too much red for me, especially the all red shorts. just my non-important opinion, I understand that colours makes $ go up.. etc.
And basically my favorite jersey in my collection is black and has a skull on it...
I'd like to see more all white shorts ?/ with red and black ?
Something that reads 'summer time' 37 degree Penticton riding.
whatever... just commenting.
And can we get something on the back that says, " if you can read this, you're about to get dropped'. ?
Those things look rad. The arm band that says Speed Theory Speed Theory Speed Theory Speed Theory Speed Theory Speed Theory Speed Theory Speed Theory Speed Theory everywhere is really cool. Dallas does have a point though...white shorts could look pretty cool. Euro Stylez
Will there be a bib option in the short, I am a little afraid of white shorts, but cycling is about pushing your limits so bring it on.
What not to wear.

haha ! that's awesome, piont well taken my good man. I would suppose the ladies have no comments ? :)
.. white will however, hide the shadows. Unless wet...
I can't post photos here but there is a halarious photo of some guys wearing white shorts. I think they enhanced thier package or there's a naked girl taking the photo. I've sent it to Trev to post. He may choose not to.
Thomas, that kit kicks ass.
If I wanted a low key jersey, I'd go to MEC. Save the white gear for guys that are about to win RAW. As for black shorts...doesn't the current kit have black shorts?
Tom, I wont ask why you were surfing a women's cycling forum if you dont bash red shorts. ;)
Guys, we were the hottest team in 2009, so our celebratory kit is supposed to be borderline obnoxious!! As long as it doesn't have pink and yellow plaid, I'm in.
Lockie, I shall retort.. wash it 5 times and it will be pink.
Tom .. You should maybe get a 'podium prostetic' ?.
White Road gear rocks! Nobody has a white kit in Alberta. And the graphics won't make it all white...
white white white...
Wow.. Seeing that I gotta go with lots of black. Plus it was so cold for most races, the passive solar was a real benefit. And there is always the shrinkage concern at the colder temps.
Apparently George Hincapie really really likes white shorts too! Really likes them.
Maybe we are still too far inside the box. http://www.aerotechdesigns.com/wildprintspandex.htm
I agree 100% with Dallas, white shorts would look awesome.
It will take real men to wear white.
Can we wear this for ABA races? I understand the ABA has to approve designs to make sure they aren't similar to other clubs and cause confusion - although in this case I don't think this would happen lol. BTW my sportbike racing leathers are red and they haven't caused any problems so far...
Since this post is also about the Halloween Party, I just want to say thanks for Trev and his family for hosting a great party.
looks good thomas! wish i could have been at the Halloween party. I was out of town for a week so i missed it. sounds like it was a good time though.
I also like the idea of going with more white. I think if you made the shorts and jursey white with red logo's, sponsors and red stiching it would look freckin awsome. As Dallas said "summer time 37 degree Penticton riding". I think the idea of two sleeves being different was also a great idea. There are too many red kits in Alberta already and "apparently" white is in for racing.
As far as haveing two different colored kits the ABA should be just fine. As long as the look reletively the same. When i raced with Velo we had both black and red shorts, ABA said it was cool.
Just my thoughts.
