My money is on Boonen this year. |
Let's meet in the morning at Speed Theory Calgary and watch the Paris-Roubaix action!! I will order a ton of coffee and tea and breakfast stuff like bagels and muffins.
We'll clear the floor, get out the chairs, grab some breakfast, and watch Paris-Roubaix on the projector with the speakers blaring!! Then, if the weather is agreeable, I'll coordinate several ride-guides to lead rides from the store after Boonen crushes the field.
Let's get the whole club out, there are a ton of names on the roster I don't recognize and all the vets would like you meet you.
Or will it be Boonen's teammate, Chavanel |
Mike Godfrey will be leading a ride out of the store and be doing some of Ronde Van Cowtown.
Dave Holmes will be leading a ride up to Cougar Ridge for his 'Broom Sprints' ride.
If you are a potential member and would like to come out and meet potential teammates and see if the 'fit' is right, then for sure come out. However, due to the ABA's insurance policies, you can't join us on the ride unless you join that morning.
See you there,
Trev

I have my eye on Peter Sagan. That kid is very strong this year. I'm hoping for the big guys to spend too much time marking each other so he can slip away.
I pick Fletcha, cause it's due time he won a race for all his efforts.
Wild card: Devolder
I am cheering for Vanmarcke for Roubaix and Haussler for Flanders! Go Team Garmin!!
New member and I'd love to come and meet everyone, but I'll be out of the City for Easter.
Next time!

Hushovd (with BMC) is making big talk about trying to win it this year. With a 3rd place in 2011 and 2nd in 2010, he might have a fighting chance.
I'll be at the meet for sure; it will be great to see some new riders.
Don't forget Cancellara, he's had some bad luck this year but he's on form, him and Boonen are going to duke it out with Hushovd coming 3rd (again)
+1 for the God of Thunder. That's the only title he has left to fill in his resume, and this time no excuses about who the team is working for...
Then again, an inopportune flat in this race can be lethal and anyone could take it!
Boonen, Boonen, Boonen, that's all we hear about in spin class on Mondays/Wednesdays. Cancellera all the way!
Sean "King" Kelly winner of a meager 9 classics (and one of the best commentators out there) says
Chavanel for Flanders (he just won the TT and overall at the the 3 days de Pain). Cancellara for Paris Roubaix, pretty hard to argue with his choices. And besides Marcy & Thomas already took all my picks!
But, there is no way a Trek can win PR!
A Belgian should win Flanders.
Tomeke, Tomeke, Tomeke!
New member. Looking forward to it.
Another new member here. I'll be there!
I forgot to RSVP - I will be there post-breakfast. What time will the race be over/rides leave Speed Theory?
Looking forward to it!
