The ABA just called me and they are starting a new magazine called 'Western Cyclist'. It is going to be distributed pretty widely apparently. Anyway, they want to do a one-page feature on SpeedTheory Cycling. They want it to be on the club in general, why it's different, how cool it is to be part of, what we do during race season and off-season... that type of stuff.
Can someone step up and I can put you in contact with Kipp at ABA and he will tell you how to go about it. It is just one page.

that's awesome to see trev! i think you guys can say you achieved your goal of expanding the cycling community. going from a small group of 10 (or less??) this first year or two, then to 30+ last year and a whopping 80+ this year is at the very least, commendable. the off-season organization has been great and the racing season is even more amped up. i still get ridiculously excited before races, warming up with an army of black and red.
it may be good for a ST member who has watched the team grow for a few years to help with the article. i still consider myself a newbie in many ways.
Rob, what is the address of your farm? We just got turned down by the city to hold the crit in North Glenmore Park, and I have a diabolicle idea.
Here comes a dirt crit courtesy of Trev Williams
I don't know if it technically has an address...I'll send a map to you that shows you the general area. Do you need an address for any reason?
No I don't really need an address. I was just wondering if it was in an area we could run a circuit race (on surrounding roads) and not the crit we planned, since we seem to really be having trouble finding a venue. I want somewhere we can all have a big BBQ and thought maybe the area around your place might be good for a big circuit loop and then people can park on the street and all have a BBQ in one of your fields. Is this possible you think? Or is it on gravel?
No it's all gravel around there. Nothing really paved unless you're out around Plummer's. Millarville might have a spot?
What's the deadline for the article?
I'd be keen to work on the article.
I would be keen on doing this. I like writing!
Also, crit course- I have two thoughts: stampede grounds and out by Bragg Creek near the ski place.

It would be cool to see what different people have to say in their articles. Even if they don't make it into the magazine, it can be put into future editions or just on the blog for the other new team members.
