Can I suggest that it doesn't have to be a pun? I'm not trying to be a downer for your creative efforts, and yes, props to Thomas, LOTR is very witty and makes for a good newpaper headline, but we could leave that to the journalists... Banff BikeFest, Tour de Bowness, Super Week, Tour of California, Tour de France... We should name it something that reflects how bass-ass and ultra-competitive this will be, and sure, mentioning the fact that it's on the Ring Road is cool, but it doesn't have to be super-cheesey.
